Visalia Adult School offers a range of programs designed to help adults earn a high school diploma or equivalency. These programs support diverse learning needs and prepare students for continued education, career advancement, and personal growth
Choose Your Educational Path
Adult Basic Education (ABE)
Provides instruction for students performing below the high school level. Courses focus on building foundational skills in Language Arts and Mathematics while preparing students for transition into the High School Diploma, GED®, or HiSET programs. This program also supports career readiness and employability skills.
High School Diploma (HSD)
Designed for individuals 18 years or older who want to complete their high school diploma. This program offers flexible learning options, including in-person instruction and independent study. Students may also earn elective credits through approved work experience.
High School Equivalency (HSE)
- GED® Preparation: Prepares students for the four sections of the GED® test: Reasoning Through Language Arts, Mathematical Reasoning, Science, and Social Studies.
- HiSET Preparation: Prepares students for the five sections of the HiSET exam: Language Arts Reading, Language Arts Writing, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies
